Pricing – It’s All About the Presentation

I recently received an IM from a local photographer asking me to review his proposal that he was sending to a client. He wanted my opinion on the pricing etc. I agreed to take a look and provide feedback – I am good at giving my opinion.

Most of you have heard the phrase sticker shock – according to Wikipedia: Sticker shock is a United States term for the feeling of surprise experienced by consumers upon finding unexpectedly high prices on the price tags (stickers) of products they are considering purchasing.

Sins, con't.

Oh, and also... Gluttony is closed. We've, um, received our fill of gluttony submissions.

Greed, Pride and Envy sure could use some help though.

Lust is doing fine, but there's still some room.

Wrath is well-represented, but still open for submissions.

And sloth is just too busy being cute.

Living in sin

As the Seven Deadly Sins show kicks in to high gear, it's got me thinking.

I mean, I'm lucky. I have the change to see of really great art. The photos have been amazing. Some have left me laughing, some made me grin from ear to ear. Some have left me stunned.

Really, I shouldn't be surprised. Sin seems to be what we do best. As humans, we are REALLY, REALLY good at it.

Atlanta Celebrates Photography Kicks Off

The biggest event of the year for photographers in Atlanta is the month (well... two months now...) of Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP 10). Events are kicking off this week! Here's a list from the ACP Newsletter (sign up for it here):

One Month to the October Exhibit - Seven Deadly Sins.

We are one month to the our next month long exhibit and here are the Top 5 things you need to be thinking about now.

1. If you have registered for the show and have not submitted photos yet, make sure you are getting them to Christina.

2. If you haven't registered for the show, we still have space. Don't miss out on this opportunity. Its a month long show that includes an Castleberry Hill artstroll.

3. Need to think about printing and framing. Look for sales on frames from Michaels, Hobby Lobby and online.
